Carleton University hosting IEEE EMBS International Student Conference (ISC) in 2016

Carleton University Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society Student Club will be hosting the EMBS International Student Conference (ISC) from May 29-31, 2016. This three day conference wishes to expand the boundaries of biomedical engineering as student authors present their research via poster or oral presentations within the biomedical field.

The Institute draws on the expertise of two participating medical research units: the University of Ottawa Heart Institute and the University of Ottawa Eye Institute. It also draws on the expertise of a number of prominent researchers from other academic units in the two universities and medical professionals from hospitals and well established medical research institutions.

The Ottawa-Carleton Institute for Biomedical Engineering was established in 2006. This multi-disciplinary institute combines resources from seven participating academic units:
