Philip Tworzydlo receives 3rd place in IFBME Young Investigator Competition

Philip Tworzydlo was selected as one of the top ten finalists for the International Federation for Medical & Biological Engineering (IFBME) Young Investigator Award. Philip presented his reseach at the IUPESM World Congress, Toronto, Canada, 2015 and received 3rd place.

The Institute draws on the expertise of two participating medical research units: the University of Ottawa Heart Institute and the University of Ottawa Eye Institute. It also draws on the expertise of a number of prominent researchers from other academic units in the two universities and medical professionals from hospitals and well established medical research institutions.

The Ottawa-Carleton Institute for Biomedical Engineering was established in 2006. This multi-disciplinary institute combines resources from seven participating academic units:
